Leaders:

When you sign up you will have options to check on how you would like to serve. Check all that apply to you so we can put our crews (group of 10 or so) together based upon adult leadership.

Here are the options:

Cooking: This person will not be doing the ministry projects instead your ministry will be helping to shop for food, cook & serve. We will have students crews help with setup, serving, & clean-up as well.
Construction Project Leader: We need people who can lead a group of people to do construction projects such as carpentry, repairs and handywork. This person needs to be experienced in construction.
Driver/Transporation: Can you help us drive to Wilmington, NC and to and from where were staying and our ministry/work sites?
Ministry Project Leader: You will be the manager and leader of a group that is working in ministry and service projects around Wilmington.
Crew Encourager: This is someone who will make sure while your crew is working/serving everyone is being encouraged and staying focused in a postive way. Love to see you smile!

How can I raise money to pay for Missions Serve 2010 Trip?

****We believe that every student who wants to go on our mission trip should have the opportunity to go regardless of their financial situation.  We will do everything we can to ensure that every student can go.  We have set up some things for you to do to make sure that you have enough money for the trip.  If you have done these four things and still don't have enough we will make sure that you are covered.

1. Put aside money from your job each paycheck to help cover expenses.

2. Cut a neighbor's yard and/or babysit a neighbors kids and put that money away for camp.

3. Write support letters to friends and family members to pray for you and help you financially afford to take part of our Mission Serve Experience 2010! Send them to Donate Here.

4.  Join in our fundraisers.

 Where will we be staying?

We will be staying at First Baptist Church of Wilmington, NC in their activites building.  It is huge and awesome!!

What will we be doing on this mission trip?

We will doing various service projects similar to what we do on students serve day's at TCC and also working with a few families in need to help them with any work that needs to be done, including repairs and light construction.

How do I register?

I am in Middle School can I still go?

Absolutely.  Parent's don't worrry.  We will design specific ways our younger middle school students can minister to others that fits their place in life and skill level.

How will we be getting to Wilmington, NC?

We will have our adults drive to wilmington.  We are not taking a bus because we will need the flexibility for groups of 10-12 to go to different areas of Wilmington for their service/work projects.

Will there be other churches/youth there?

Yes, we are actually teaming up with a church from Atlanta, GA.  It is my former church where I was youth pastor before TCC.  I am great friends with the youth pastor now and we are teaming together so that our kids can get a great mission experience and also get to know other students from other parts of the US.

What are the dates and times of the trip?

We will be leaving from TCC after our morning youth worship on Sunday July 18th.  We will have a pizza lunch and then pack up and head out around 2pm.  We strongly encourage each student to come to the morning youth services since we will have a time of prayer and preperation for our youth.  We will still have our normal youth Gathering but we will focus our thoughts and message on missions/service.

We will return on Sunday Morning July 25th in time for our morning youth service.  We are doing this b/c we want to be able to share in our MS & HS services and have parents join us so they can hear more about all God did through the lives of our students at TCC.

Will we have time to relax or have fun on this trip?

Of course!!  Serving is fun though and you will probably have your most fun serving alongside of other students.  However, we will plan a day at the beach on our last day to relax and have fun as a group!

Will we need to bring certain things or wear certain kinds of clothes?

Yes!  We want everyone to bring work gloves, work shoes (closed toed shoes for worksites), and a few other construction type tools, which we will send out closer to the time we are leaving.  Also, we will want all students to wear jeans/pants while on worksites and ministry teams.  You can wear shorts in the evening time when we are back at our place we are staying.  Please make sure all shorts are modest as we are on a mission trip and want to convey conservative values.

Will we meet together anytime before we go on the trip?

Yes.  We encourage everyone going to come to our Student Serve Day on May 15th.

Sunday, May 23rd - 1pm-2:30pm.  Pizza lunch provided.

Sunday, June 13th - 1pm - 2:30pm Pizza lunch provided.

Wed. July 14th - 6:30pm - 8pm.

All students & leaders going on our Mission Trip will be encouraged to come to several of our Mission Trip Prep days so that we can begin to come together before we go serve together.  We will not only get more information about what we will be doing, we will be dividing up into teams/crews and pray for each other.  This is very important and should not be missed unless there is already a previous conflict.  Thanks!

Our July 14th service will have more prayer, worship & Spiritual preparation to make sure we are all ready to go and make a huge impact!

All youth & Parents are invited to come and worship with us & pray with us.
