Volunteer in Student Ministry…

What are the needs in our Student Ministry?

Many of these can be filled by either Adults or Students.
POSITION: Drama Coordinator
Role Description: Coordinate Dramas that will be done on Sunday Mornings and/or 1x a month on Sunday Nights. May involve helping to find weekly dramas for Sunday Mornings.
Skills: Manager, Strong understanding of Drama, Good Social Skills, Love for Students.
Timeframe: 1 year commitment
Time Commitment: 2-3 hours a week. Working with Students, making phone calls, and organizing dramas on Sunday Mornings.
Minimum Requirements: Active Member/Attender of TCC, Good Social Skills, Background Check
POSITION: Video Editing
Role Description: Producing Videos for our student ministry which may include organizing a team to help write, shoot, & edit videos. We will be using videos for announcements and sermon illustrations and introductions.
Skills: Basic understanding of video editing, shooting and/or creating.
Timeframe: 1 year or more commitment
Time Commitment: 2-5 hours a week
Minimum Requirements: Need access to Video editing software and hardware.
POSITION: Sound/Tech
Role Description: We need sound/tech help on Sunday Mornings in both MS & HS Gathering on Sunday Mornings. Includes, knowing how to set-up and run sound equipment. Also, looking to find someone to record messages in the youth ministry using audacity on a laptop or other program.
Skills: Basic understanding of Sound Equipment.
Timeframe: 2 hours a week, with help can rotate for weeks off
Time Commitment: 1 year or more
Minimum Requirements: Basic understanding of sound and audio equipment
POSITION: Welcome/Host
Role Description: Welcome students from Front of the church into the Youth Center on Sunday Mornings. This may include registration and/or connecting guests to significant adults and students in our ministry.
Skills: Smiles alot, Friendly, Welcoming, Passion for our Student ministry.
Timeframe: 30min – hour a week
Time Commitment: 1 year or more commitment on rotation
Minimum Requirements: Welcoming and Friendly attitude, Active Member/Attender of TCC.
POSITION: Assist Small Groups
Role Description: You will work with another adult to help them in our small groups ministry. This role is designed to prepare someone to be the main leader within a semester or year.
Skills: Teacher, Facilitator, Discussion Leader, Clear Understanding of the Gospel, heart for Students,
Timeframe: 3-5 hours a week
Time Commitment: 6 month commitment then look to move to be a leader
Minimum Requirements: Background Check, Love for students, Active Member/Attender of TCC.
POSITION: Snacks
Role Description: Help set up snacks for our Tuesday Night Small Groups and/or help with coordinating with Café Ministry about snacks on Sunday Mornings. You will work on a rotation.
Skills: Organization, Service, Love Snacks!
Timeframe: 1-2 hours a week on rotation
Time Commitment: 1 year or more
Minimum Requirements: Organizational skills
POSITION: Creative Design
Role Description: This is a team role where you will meet monthly to help creatively come up with how to communicate what we are teaching and doing, more effectively. This will include things such as searching for resources/videos/ideas on the internet, setting up environment for our gathering time with students, helping with creative teaching aids to communicate, and other areas of creativity.
Skills: Eye for creativity, ability to find resources, works well with a group.
Timeframe: 2 hours monthly and 1-2 hours a week
Time Commitment: 1 year
Minimum Requirements: Active Member/Attender of TCC, Clear understanding of Vision of Youth Ministry, Desire to follow the lead of the Youth Pastor.
POSITION: Small Group Leaders
Role Description: Lead a group of 4-8 Students in a deeper walk with God and encourage them as they move through their teenage years.
Skills: Teacher, Communicator, Facilitator, Discussion Leader, Love for God’s Word, Clear Understanding of the Gospel, Shepherding.
Timeframe: 1-4 year commitment
Time Commitment: 3x a month on Tuesday Nights (available to teach group on another night) plus some outside time to invest in the lives of your students.
Minimum Requirements: Active Member/Attender of TCC, Background Check, Growing Christian.
** Please note that any position working with the student ministry will require a background check.**
