Hurricane Helene Relief

Hurricane Helene made landfall with 140-mph winds along Florida’s Big Bend region, sweeping through the southeast leaving a path of catastrophic devastation. Many of you have been struck by the unbelievable destruction, especially in western NC, and want to help. Please consider one or more of these ways to help with relief efforts.

1. Give: Samaritan’s Purse responds quickly when natural disasters strike, deploying an army of volunteers to come alongside homeowners to bring relief and compassion in Jesus’ Name.

2. Serve: Samaritan’s Purse is currently scheduling volunteers for Monday, September 30 through Saturday, November 2. Volunteers will assist homeowners affected by Hurricane Helene and will help in Jesus’ Name with tree work, debris cleanup, roof tarping, and mug outs. There will be opportunities for mainly day volunteers. No skills are necessary prior to serving. Volunteers will be led and instructed by experienced team leads.

  • * Next Trip to Western NC: TCCer and SWAT Team Leader Mike Craig is working towards leading another trip soon. Please sign up here if you are interested in possibly serving with him and hitching a ride.

3. Pray: Finally, pray for the victims, their families, the responders, and the volunteers who are working hard to rescue people and relieve the disastrous circumstances in the wake of Hurricane Helene.
