Through Easter Sunday, we experience the real people, real problems, and real provision of God in the Psalms. Reading the Psalms is like being given access to someone’s personal diary. We see real people with real problems pouring their hearts out to a God they knew to be great, compassionate but even perplexing! The Psalms, written as songs, cover the full gamut of spiritual life, from praise to lament to wisdom to prophesy.
From the Psalms we learn how to worship. How to pour out our hearts to God with honesty and hope. How the Psalms are useful for prayer and as an instruction manual for spiritual life. And we learn about a great, gracious, and merciful God who is our constant and ultimate Provider.
