Our project involved breaking up and removing concrete steps from an exterior basement stairwell, expanding the hole, building a concrete hole around the hole, installing new stairs, and adding a storm cellar door. Messy, hard work!

We had the opportunity to help a 90-year-old WWII veteran who is in poor health. After being told by Rebuilding Together not to bother the homeowner, he came out and spent time with us as we worked on the ramp project.

Hurricane Irma wreaked havoc on many areas, including Jacksonville, Florida, where some rivers crested 20 feet above flood stage. We sent two teams, one to help homeowners gut their homes of waterlogged materials and the second to build storage sheds for homeowners to use during the rebuilding process.
