Today there are multiple, urgent calls for justice, for systemic change—even for revolution! As Christians, we want to know how to think biblically about these important issues. According to Micah 6:8, God requires that we “do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly”. What do each of these three concepts involve, how can we apply them in our lives and spheres of influence today—and what our communities look like if we did?
TALKING POINTS / WALKING POINTS
View the sermon summary or dig deeper into the message during the sermon, in your personal Bible study, or with your family or Community Group in application-driven discussion.
APPLICATION / CHALLENGE
Relate Rightly to God. Immerse yourself in the study of God’s character. Call it to mind often. This is the foundation for living the hesed life.
Relate Rightly to Others. Mercy and kindness will overflow to others as you ponder the mercy and kindness God has shown you.
TAKE ONE STEP
Each week, write down one doable concrete step of obedience, small or large, that you will put into practice this week. (James 1:22: “But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves.”)
