Give it a Rest!
Why is resting in God such hard work?
Join us for this year’s Spring Retreat as we explore Christian rest through the lens of Hebrews.
Together we’ll consider:
- What is this rest?
- Why do we need this rest?
- How do we enter and enjoy this rest?
Come enjoy the fellowship, discussion, and the beauty of nature, and be refreshed as we draw near to the God who invites us to rest in Him.
Our guest speaker, Kay Sandberg is a Wake County local! She attended Fuquay Varina High School, went away to college, then earned a PhD in Chemistry from NC State, where she is now a professor of organic chemistry. At NCSU she is also involved in the outreaches of the Christian Faculty and Staff Network. Kay and her husband Don are members of Redeemer Community Church in Fuquay, where Kay leads a discipleship group and Don is on the pastoral team.
We are grateful that our annual retreat has become a popular tradition for our women to connect and grow together. For this reason, registration is open only to women who worship regularly at TCC. Once all of our spots are spoken for, we will open a waitlist for our TCC Women to join us in the event an opening becomes available.
We will be gathering at the Caraway Conference Center nestled in the rolling hills of the Uwharrie Mountains, just a 90 minute drive from Apex. Caraway Conference Center is tucked away in the woods, 7 miles west of Asheboro providing a relaxing setting for a retreat weekend. Whether through our speaker’s messages, group discussions, chats on the porch or hikes on the walking trails, you will be blessed during this extended time of fellowship, reflection, renewal and worship.

Saturday afternoon offers unhurried free time to rest and refresh—whether you prefer relaxing, crafting, playing games, putting together a puzzle, strolling the scenic trails, or hiking the Uwharrie Mountains for beautiful views. After our evening session and small-group discussion, we’ll gather around the campfire for fellowship and s’mores.
On Sunday morning we’ll conclude with our final session and leave by noon—spiritually renewed and encouraged as we take to heart what God’s Word teaches us about true Christian rest.
