When You’re Wronged – 2.1.26

How should we react when we’re wronged? Elder and guest speaker Greg Wallace will remind us that God is in control and will use the situation for His great purpose. Instead of just praying for our vindication, our job is to pray first that people see Christ in us and secondly to know when to call the wrongdoers to account versus just moving on.

Cultivating a Heroic Faith: An Introduction – 1.11.26

There is only one place where we can find God’s inductees into Faith’s Hall of Fame–the eleventh chapter of the New Testament book of Hebrews. There is only one qualification for entry–the possession of great faith. There are some predictable heroes enshrined there—people like Noah, Abraham and Moses. But there are some notable surprises as well. People like Enoch, Jacob and Rahab have also found their way there, for they demonstrated God honoring faith in some unique ways.

What’s the Use?: Remaining Confident in the Character of God – 1.4.26

When our “experience” doesn’t line up with our selectively desired attributes of God, we begin to elevate our experience above the totality of God’s character revealed in Christ and evident in Scripture. Instead, we need to be even more vigilant in remaining confident in God’s character because our hope from Him is unlike any other hope on this side of eternity.

The Principal Characters of Christmas: The Wise Men: In Search of a King – 12.21.25

In the Christmas story we are told that wise men from the east came to worship the baby Jesus. What do we know about them? How could they have known about the prophecy of the coming Jewish Messiah King? What can we learn from their diligent pursuit and example of worship? In this message we will talk about it.
