In this message we consider how Jesus’ parents may have processed the events surrounding the Christmas story. The day of his birth came and went, but what now? What does all of this mean? What are the implications of Jesus’ coming? What should we anticipate to come? These are the questions we explore in this message.

How could they have known about the prophecy of the coming Jewish Messiah King? What can we learn from their diligent pursuit and example of worship? In this message we will talk about it.

Sunday we look at the first Messianic prophecy. It hints of a human redeemer who will give Satan a mortal wound while sustaining what amounts to a wounded heel. As future revelation unfolded, this prophecy became clearer. This redeemer was born on the first Christmas–his name is Jesus!

Even Jesus’ birth evoked violent opposition and that opposition resulted in horrible tragedy. By studying this story we will learn three lessons: (1) Jesus’ entrance into the world evokes opposition, (2) God works in unexpected ways, and (3) the whole Bible is really about Jesus!
We all know the amazing story of the wisemen who followed a star that led them to Jesus’ birthplace, Bethlehem. By looking at these magi’s lives, we will learn about the nature of God’s will, and how we should seek to find it and respond to it.
