This is a night when we can help others in need by bringing food products to club in order to distribute it to some families in our community that can use a little assistance as the Christmas season approaches. You can participate by bringing canned goods, boxed foods or any other non-perishable food products. Cereals, spaghetti, soups, macaroni and cheese, peanut butter and jelly, whatever! Our response in past years has shown that our Awana families stand willing to share the love of Jesus and blessings we have received with those that God brings to our attention. If you know of a family (or you are a family) who has a need and could personally benefit from this night, please click here to email the Awana Commander, Mark Wolski.
It is also our second NBA Night! At the strong urging of a persuasive clubber, we added NBA Night to our theme calendar! Kids should try to wear anything from an NBA team – hat, t-shirt, jersey, etc. – to show support for your favorite team. If you don’t have anything with an NBA logo, feel free to use something for a college team or a basketball team that you’ve played on. Our Game Director will incorporate the use of basketballs in this night’s GameTime.
Lastly, it’s Mystery Gift Night. This is a night when our club directors bring a wrapped mystery gift to club and clubbers who say a verse or are current with their book get to try to guess the contents of the mystery gift. The first correct guess or guess that is deemed closest wins the gift.
